Hello Friends! Since not much has been happening from the jewelry bench lately, I wanted to make a quick post today and share some of the beautiful finds my sweet friend Misty found on her last European gathering. Along with all of those beautiful jewelry pieces she had brought back for me, she found these gorgeous finds for her antique store, Antiques on Holiday...
Look at the age on this drum! It's from the late 1700's or early 1800's.
Fantastique, n'est pas????
I just LOVE 1920's French chinoiserie...
Check out this old, old solid concrete dog house...
...dirt and seedlings were added to the tops of them and then watered for growth. The whole top would eventually sprout beautiful grasses and flowers and be completely covered in green!
This antique French chandelier was massive...
Very cool old, old, old French dolls...
she had found lots of elegant hand-painted furniture...
Isn't he sweet?
This was just a small little portion of what she had brought back! She was selling it as fast as she could unpack it. Oh well, I guess this merits another trip back to France, except this time I'm sneaking in her suitcase! (lol)
Next post, I promise some makeover pictures of my art room that I am currently working on. I have been quite overwhelmed with this huge project, to say the least. See you next time, and wish me luck!
