Notre Dame Souvenir Piece...

 

 

 

 Wow, what another crazy but fun week! Lots going on this past week and several new pieces coming to my Etsy shop tonight. Here's a peek at my work and my week in pictures...

 

Lunch yesterday overlooking Pensacola Bay with the hubby....

Project # 125 on my to do list came about this past week...

 

...a vintage coffee table for the cabin.

Look at the cool stencil I found for it from the Etsy shop  "Artistic Stencils"...

 

They have a wonderful selection of French inspired stencils and also offer free shipping!

I am going to shabby this neat old claw foot table and then apply the stencil to the top. Will post the 'after' pics as soon as I finish.

Catching Up...

 

Happy weekend everyone! I'm back from a refreshing and relaxing little trip to our new little fun place in the sun, and I have been playing catch up for the past couple of days. I have managed to finish a couple of new, very special pieces that will debut in my Etsy shop tonight.

I also have been busy re-stocking my local hometown locations. We have had a really busy summer tourist season down here this year, and my jewelry has been very well received by our Florida visitors, even though they aren't very "beachy". Lol.

Here is a little preview of the new goodies coming tonight....

 

 

 

While I was up in my "happy place" this past week, I found some gorgeous old chains...

 

 

 

...these are going to be fabulous to create with...

 

 

...I was so ecstatic when I found these old Miriam Haskell chains...

 

 

and this gorgeous old European silver woven chain....

 

 

 

...and old watch chains are always a super score!...

 

 

 

And, as promised, here are some photos of our new home away from home...

 

...there will be lots of work to be done to give it our personal touch...and I will post pictures here of the before and afters.

Victorian Symbolism...

 

 This past week has been a crazy one! The hubby and I have been getting all of our 'ducks in a row' to go and close on our little slice of Heaven in the mountains. But in the middle of getting ready to fly off to my "happy place".....

 

 ...I did manage to create a few old coral pieces for the shop this coming week. My last batch of coral designs went so fast, that I have decided to make just a few more pieces before the summertime coral craze slips into the sunset....
 

 

I love this bracelet I finished this past week using old Victorian coral pieces that I hand-wired onto an old brass filigree brooch piece...

 

There's lots of Victorian symbolism in all of my new coral designs which makes them all the more special. In Victorian times, the Star symbolized spirit and guidance....Coral symbolized protection from evil, especially when worn by a child. And the Key symbolized entering into Heaven or your heart....

 

...Pearls symbolized teardrops....

 

 

...Birds symbolized returning home, whether it be Heaven or on earth...

 

 

...and Laurel sprigs represented triumph or peace.

 

 

 

I also have a couple new bracelets coming this week too...
