Antique Heaven...

I was in antique heaven this past weekend at our annual and local antique show. Mary Kay and I went to search for new goodies for our designs and we had such a blast!!! We stayed for 8 full hours scouring the cases, booths, and networking for perhaps getting a booth of our own for next year's show. But that could be quite dangerous for us, as hard as we like to shop the show!!! LOL. Three back to back days of being surounded by wonderful antiques could prove to be quite dangerous for our wallets!!!

Here are a few pics from the show and some of its vendors...

One of my favorite dealers that comes to the show every year... he has several cases completely full of Victorian and Art Deco jewelry. It's like digging through multiple treasure chests...

He also had these crazy signs from the 1950's....

...quite funny!!!!

...more from his cases brimming over with jewels...

Here are some of the beauties I found for some upcoming designs....

...I found lots and lots of lovely old watch chain and cameos...

...check out these cool old "chinoiserie" lantern screwback earrings...

...and we found some gorgeous old hand beaded Victorian dress trim. This will make for some FABULOUS upcoming bracelets.....

...and my most favorite thing I found was this stunning beauty...

...the most beautiful Victorian watch chain I have ever laid eyes upon!!!
Look at the toggle bar on the left side of the picture, pretty incredible I might say!!!

And now for the winner of those Sparrow and Garnet earrings I have been talking about giving away for the last few weeks...

Congratulations Michelle from "Petite Michelle Louise" blogspot!!!! You are the new owner of the Sparrow and Garnet Earrings. Please email me so I can get these earrings sent out to you. And to all who did not win this time, there will be plenty more giveaways to come, please stay tuned.
Au Revoir my friends, hope you all have a great week ahead!!!

Believe It Or Not...

Believe it or not, today I am not posting about jewelry!! Can you actually believe it??? Yes, my friends, I took a short break for a few days to recharge my batteries. I wanted to post today about somewhere special the hubby and I went last Friday night. There is this fabulous new intimate concert venue right down from our house called "First Note Music Hall". It is truly an incredible venue to see rising stars from the Nashville songwriting music scene. Each week the venue features different songwriters, and we happen to be there on a night where they were hosting these talented songwriters and an incredibly talented 6 piece bluegrass band! I am so in LOVE with bluegrass. I have loved this genre of music for years now and really feel that it is so pure and filled with emotion and passion.

The DaPue Brothers...

and here are some of the songwriters that performed that night...

If you are ever in the area, do not miss the opportunity to experience this FABULOUS place!!
You can go here: http://firstnotemusichall.com/ to find out more about this great music venue.

...and another reason I have taken a few days off is because of this little project I found....

...I just had to have this old farm table with four drawers in it!!! When I saw all of that extra storage those four glorious drawers could hold, I knew this was a project for me! My current jewelry bench does not have extra storage, and with my hoarding tendencies, I knew this was going to be a match made in heaven! LOL!

Stay tuned for the "after" pictures of this old piece. I'm not looking forward to all of the work it's going to take, but I am looking forward to the reward of  finally having some extra storage on my work bench.

And please remember to come back and see me in a few days, because I will be announcing the winner of these sweet sparrow and garnet earrings....Good Luck to all of you!!!!
Au Revoir!!!

Travel Souvenirs...

Bonjour Blogland!!! Just sharing some of my latest designs with you today that feature some really neat and old travel souvenirs. The above souvenir brooch was a fantastic old piece that I found in Belgium last year and features one of the oldest cities in France. I thought it was super cool because of it's beautiful blue background behind a gorgeous Gothic church, this making it one of the prettiest souvenir brooches I have ever found.

...I also finished a couple of new "War Horse" pieces for my latest line inspired by the movie...

...I even have a little bit of travel souvenir coming to my "Cherished Relics" store this evening....

...along with some more vintage goodies...

Well mes amis, that is what I have been up to lately along with gearing up for attending our annual antique show next week, and I am sooooo excited. I will share what I find right here with you next weekend, I am hoping it will be awesome like it was last year!!!!
Oh, and don't forget about my earring giveaway, I will announce the winner next week also. All you have to do to be in the running to win is leave me a comment anywhere on my little ol' blog.
Take care my friends, and see you back here real soon!!!

"War Horse"...

Hello Everyone!!! Sorry it has been a while since I have posted, but I've been really busy getting my new line "War Horse" underway. And yes, it is inspired by that great award winning movie that is out in theaters right now. I am always so inspired by animals and absolutely LOVE to use them in my work.
I have a real soft spot for dogs, birds and horses and I reference them in  my work quite often.
I have not seen the movie yet, for fear of balling like a great big baby in front of a movie house full of people, but have been so inspired by the movie trailer and that era in time, that I have decided to create my own line dedicated to the dazzling and beautiful "War Horse".....

 ...these pieces...

...and more....

..."War Horse" inspired Jewelry...

...coming to my Etsy shop soon!

Has anyone out there seen the movie yet? If so, please leave a comment and let us know
what you thought of it.
Until next time mes amis, Happy creating and have a great weekend!!!
