Bluebird...

Remember that sweet little French enamel bluebird I showed you a couple of weeks ago? Well here he is, all stored away in a cool old, vintage wearable showcase! I tucked in some old Victorian lace and my little signature key for added elegance, and now he can be preserved forever in the beautiful condition that I found him in....

gorgeous faceted aquamarine, art deco rhinestones, and mother of pearl accents...

...and a really pretty finish!

..."Bluebird" can be found at Etsy, later this evening.

Below, is the "Rhinestones in Paris" bracelet. I had originally made this piece for myself, but decided recently that I should part with it so someone else could enjoy it's sweet French charm...
Creamy golden freshwater pearls, faceted citrine and pyrite, and vintage bracelet links give this bracelet lots of personality!

The "Saisir Le Jour" bracelet, pictured below, is made with an old American medal still attached to it's colorful gross-grain ribbon and a sweet old gold-filled heart locket filled with the words "saisir le jour" placed inside. Saisir le jour, meaning "seize the day" in French and a old picture of a French soldier makes this piece
a special military inspired bracelet.

"Paris Monuments" earrings came about after a night of reminiscing about my trip to Paris. That wonderful trip from last Fall is still inspiring my creations, to this day!!!!

Stay tuned, because next post I will debut my new adventure that I am so over-the-moon excited about. Here's a hint:  It's not jewelry, but it has to do with jewelry.
Au Revoir for now my friends and have a beautiful weekend!

Fun With the New Gemstones...

New earrings with my new gemstones from India. All available at Etsy later this afternoon!

Here's what I've been up to lately...

Custom orders galore....

A new custom bracelet for Judson, using old military medals and memorabilia. He loves Parisian influenced antiques, so I also wired in a little vintage Paris bracelet link.

Judson loved the Napolean medal I had posted earlier this month so I made him a fabulous necklace with it. I kept it masculine with heavy chain and a large rhinestone piece for the center. Hope he likes it!

Look at the reverse of the Napolean medal...Quite fabulous isn't it????

The medal itself was just too cool, with all of it's three dimensional grandeur...

A rhinestone and silver necklace for Cindy....

Lots of unique and sparkly goodies in this piece....

Some Fresh Air...

The hubby and I had such a nice breath of fresh air the day before yesterday when we hopped over to our neighboring town of Panama City. We had a little bit of cabin fever so we decided to be tourists for the afternoon. We stopped by the cutest little amusement park right on the gulf and it made for quite a charming afternoon...

I fell in love with this pretty topiary horse! Could it possibly be a future project for the front yard????
(Not if the hubby has anything to do with it!)(lol)
...the topiary monkey in the background is quite cute too!

...and of course I just had to ride the ferris wheel...

The amazing view at the top...

That's the beautiful Gulf of Mexico in the far distance on the one year anniversary of that disastrous gulf oil spill from last year. When I look at the water and see how clear it is today, I am so thankful that it wasn't far worse than it was. We were some of the lucky ones down here on our shores. Thank you Lord!

Check out this crazy building just a little ways down from the amusement park...
I had to do a double-take on that one!

Also, I wanted to show you jewelry lovers out there in blogville this interesting old necklace I bought at the auction yesterday. I'm not really sure what it is, but I do know it is old, hand strung with some type of a seed as the main beads. I think it might be chinese early 1900's, but not quite sure. Does anyone out there know???? Any of you blogger friends out there seen anything like it before? It has me stumped....

The handcarved beads and the beautiful brass tassel made from the most interesting chain reeled me in on this piece. Then, the more I studied it, I realized this wasn't an everyday piece of jewelry. Please feel free to leave a comment if you can help me out on this one, because I have never really seen anything quite like it!
