Something Different....

Bonjour blog friends! Hope everyone is having an exciting and fun weekend. As for me, it has been full of 'sewing' (yes, I said sewing) and the Olympics. I must admit I have a bad case of Olympic fever this go around. All the athletes participating are so talented and inspiring! They are so motivating and moving to watch perform, and they have the amazing ability to "dig deep" in the heat of the moment. I am so in awe...
Anyone else enjoying them as much as me?

...also, I have managed to create a few new pieces with the antique French embroidery I acquired last week. The pieces have required a lot of sewing, which is very time consuming. But I don't mind, I happen to love sewing and have known how since I was a little girl. Here are a few of the pieces I have managed to get finished while glued to the Olympics....

....and how about these two U.S. Olympic teams this week.....

...The boys of our U.S. Swim team, what cutie pies and more importantly, such gifted athletes!!!!

....and how adorable are the ladies U.S. Gymnastics team?...

...these girls really know how to handle the pressure of competition and are such incredible young athletes.
And oh my, the runners of the Olympics!!! Their endurance, power, and athleticism on the track leaves me speechless and awe-struck!
Congratulations and 'job well done' to all of our incredibly talented Olympians.

Okay, off to watch more Olympics!  ;~)
See you in a few days with more one of a kind, French embroidered pieces of jewelry!!!

Looks like you are working on some beautiful creations! I worked on a necklace this afternoon, but had too many interruptions so gave up. I do not know why, but just have not been able to really get into the olympics this year. :(
Have a great week.

Loving it..the Olympics has been awesome and awesome, especially our women cyclists, makes my heart swell. Sorry got caught up there, but that sweet embroidered black cuff is darling.

Also I am very captivated by Olympics and I agree with the difficulty in working jewelry and watching. The women from the middle east who are the first to compete from their countries...so beautiful a thing. I hope they will not be shunned for participating or worse. I like your new fabric vibe. Good looking!

It seems to me these young athletes are so dedicated and focused. They do inspire us, even though I couldn't swim a lap or run a mile..lol

Gorgeous images of your sewing! Talk about inspiring...you...constantly inspire us!

Thank you Ladies for your fun feedback on the Olympics. 4 years ago, during the Beijing Olympics, I just couldn't get into it. This year is a completely different story. The men's swim team is just gorgeous, the runners are amazing, the gymnasts are captivating, the women's volleyball team, WOW,...the Olympics have just been a great source of inspiration this year with these great athletes and their extreme dedication to what they love.
Thank you ladies again, for stopping by, I have enjoyed reading your comments!
