Gathering...

Hi everyone, I just wanted to drop in and share some sweet old pieces I had fun gathering this past week for some upcoming designs....

...I found lots of little old glass perfume bottles...

...divine intervention must have occurred when I acquired this old hand carved ivory stag in the most exquisite Victorian gilt frame...

...and I was so over the moon excited to find this old butterfly wing reverse painted horse head brooch, I think I heard the angels singing when I spotted it....

...but my most favorite find of all....this gorgeous vintage porcelain piece with the most debonair soldier's portrait on it's facade...

...and check out these really sweet Victorian die cuts...

...they will be perfect for filling my old vintage lockets to make them a little extra special,
don't you think?

Be back in a few days with some pictures from the concert Mary Kay and I are going to tomorrow night. I will tell you who it is upon my return, I am really excited to finally get a couple of days off and will share all the fun with you guys when I get back. Anyone have any exciting plans this weekend? Would love to hear about them!

You find such amazing pieces Christine. I wish I had the resources here that you have where you live! The only time I am able to find neat components is when I visit my parents in Oregon. You are LUCKY!!
Can't wait to get my earrings!

Your pieces are absolutely amazing. I swear, my eyes tear up just looking at your photos of them all.

Have fun at your concert, I cannot wait to hear about it. Even though I'm older, I still love my music that I've loved since the 80's.

I will be creating some pieces for you this weekend. Thank God it's finally here, lol.

My eyes don't just water... I boohoo when I see the findings you share with us. This weekend I will follow my husband, his fellow coaches and their boys to the Texas 4A football quarter finals game tomorrow. Go Dogs!

Thank you ladies for your encouraging compliments on my finds. Sometimes the thrill of the hunt is just as exciting as the design process. And a little retail therapy is also just what I need sometimes to get that creative spark going again. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for your lovely comments.
