Adieu Voyage

My last few days in Europe were bittersweet. Although I was more than ready to come home, I new I was going to miss this beautiful and wonderful place. The weather became so bad the last couple of days I was there, so we did not get to do everything on our list. Koln had to be canceled due to the very wet and cold day that we had it scheduled and the Belgium flea market was almost(but not quite) a wash...literally!

Here are a few pics...

The German countryside is so panoramic....

Little quaint villages are everywhere...

We spent plenty of time here...

...on the crazy-fast Autobahn. Oh, and those of you who have been to Germany....
Where the heck is Aushfart??? We never did find it! LOL!!!

There were plenty of old Gothic churches to see...

And there were lots of windows and shops filled with yummy and pretty things....

and then there was the architecture....

Wow, wow, and wow!

Here is one of the last places we ate...

It's an old abbey,
complete with sacred ground...

The inside of the abbey was so beautiful...

In this place, hops fill the air....

...delicious fresh brewed German beer fill the glasses...

...and delicious traditional Schnitzel flows from the kitchen...

A group portrait of my sister, mother, sister's friend, and myself after eating dinner at the abbey

And the very last day in Europe was filled with shopping...

Belgian flea market style...SWEET!

This is Tongeren...

One of the oldest cities in Belgium, and just brimming full of fun old antiques...

My latest acquisitions that will be made into some new designs I am currently working on...

Be back this weekend with my new designs made from these fabulous new treasures I found. Thank you for visiting and see you back here in a couple of days!

Oh my goodness, what fabulous images from Germany. I had a year of German learning the language, it was just too hard.

Love that tin box with the bird, I swear I have one from France, same box.

I cannot wait to see your new creations, cannot wait.

Loved seeing your pics and sorry the weather messed up some of your plans. :/ I see several things at the flea I would be tempted with, especially the treasures for future jewelry creations.
Again - thanks for sharing your trip.
Enjoy your weekend.
